Vitràge is our art workshop here at L’Officina dei Giardini and is certified for its artisanal excellence by the Region of Piedmont. Founded and led by Paola Caterina Grua, Master of Glass Arts, it is where skill, inspiration, and passion come together to create stained-glass and other decorative windows of extraordinary refinement.
Each decorative window is a unique creation, made following the tradition of the ancient European art of glassmaking—from the first sketch to the tracing of the lead, and from the selection and cutting of the glass to enamel painting and firing in the kiln and on to lead sealing and installation. The result is a work of art that enhances light and transforms a setting into a visual story.
Glazing options include clear glass, decorative finishes, sandblasted panels, or traditional cathedral glass. Styles range from Art Nouveau and Baroque to contemporary. Each project is tailor-made to integrate elegantly into conservatories, orangeries, gazebos, pavilions, pool houses, bioclimatic greenhouses, entrance halls, and any other glass and metal creation that the mind can conceive.
