In the heart of Rome, not far from the Spanish Steps, Hotel d’Inghilterra has always been known for their refined hospitality. A historic residence of the international elite since the 18th century, it still retains the charm of an aristocratic palace, with rooms, suites and terraces overlooking Rome’s most elegant rooftops.
For one of the suites with a terrace, we created a space that combines beauty and ambience. It features a gazebo with an airy, decorative character, including a green and cream striped fabric canopy and color-coordinated embellishments. A discreet yet scenic presence capable of transforming the outdoors into an open-air living space.
Delimiting the terrace, a trellis wall of rhomboid and square motifs filters light and creates a delicate balance between shadow and transparency. This airy, harmonious structure complements the classical style of the building, while adding both depth and rhythm to the space.
Decorative elements from the L’Officina dei Giardini collection complete the scene, including ornamental moldings, friezes, a wall-mounted mirror with integrated fountain, and gilded “Versailles” planters. Each and every detail helps create an intimate setting poised between refined elegance and the enchantment of a secret garden.
